Q. Can I get bridals / trash the dress (TTD)?
A. Yes! Our bridals / TTD really stand out – because we use sophisticated magazine lighting, props, and we spend as much time as we need to make extraordinary images as unique as you are. TTD sessions also take pressure off your wedding day, when *everyone* wants your time. Better to take your time making amazing portraits of bride & groom on a day scheduled before or after your wedding, so that you can spend as much time as possible on your wedding day with your gathered friends and family.
Q. Will you destroy my dress during a trash the dress (TTD) / bridal session?
A. Only if you want me to!Normally, we just travel to different locations and make great portraits. To date I’ve not trashed, burned, torn nor destroyed any of my brides’ dresses. However, with the bride’s permission, we have gotten a few a little dirty or wet. And more than one bride has purchased an inexpensive second dress just for the TTD session.
Q. Can I get engagement photos?
A. Totally! We love engagement sessions, because we have more time, more space, we’re able to use a combination of sophisticated on-location studio lighting and natural light, and it’s a very stress-free fun and loving time. Our engagement photos RAWK! And when you book us for a full day wedding, you get an engagement session, sign-in book and digital negatives for free – a $2,000 value.
Q. Can I get digital negatives?
A. Yes! High resolution digital negatives can be purchased at the time of your booking, or after the fact. All culled, toned, finished digital images are uploaded in highest resolution to your personal online shopping & viewing gallery, like this one. In addition to prints of all manner, you can also purchase individual digital negatives for download from your gallery. Most clients purchase the whole session (on DropBox or thumbdrive or DVD) either at booking or after. In all cases we will give you a personal copyright transfer agreement, in case the lab wants proof of your ownership.
Q. Will I know who my photographer is?
A. Yes! Unlike some high-volume studios, when you hire STEVEN JOSEPH PHOTO, you always know who your principal photographer will be (barring Acts of God) and what style and quality of photography to expect. Your principal photographer will always be Steven Fogarty.
Q. Can we meet the photographer?
A. Definitely! Steve & Chris would love to grab drinks or coffee with you, to get to know you a little bit. Let’s talk and set up a date!
Q. If I opt for a Second Photographer, will I know who s/he is?
A. We offer two Second Photographer options: Artisan and Associate.
Our Artisan Second Photographers are some of the best photographers in town, people whose work Steve knows and admires greatly, Steve’s friends and friendly competition, professional wedding photographers with years of experience and hundreds of weddings under their belt, who need virtually no direction on your wedding day. The Las Vegas wedding photographer community is tight and we often shoot as second for one another.
Our Associate Second Photographer option is free to you and perfect for the couple who want more coverage, whose budget is tighter, and who realize that coverage from an Associate Second photographer may just be ordinary or may be very good, but comes without guarantee. The photographers we invite to be Associate Second Photographers may be experienced in another field (e.g., families, babies) but are just breaking into the wedding industry and need practice and portfolio development. Or they may be new to professional photography all together.
Q. When is payment due?
A. A 40% Retainer (applied toward your full investment) is required to reserve your date. After receiving your retainer we don’t consider anyone else for your date. After that we set up a monthly plan for the balance, with the final investment due 4 weeks before your wedding. We’ve been told that our personalized online payment system is the easiest and most convenient way to pay.
Q. Do you live in Vegas?
A. Yes. We live in Las Vegas, and we serve the world.
Q. Can we post our photos to Facebook?
A. Yes! Please do! Following your wedding STEVEN JOSEPH PHOTO automatically uploads some favorites to our Facebook Fan Page. This is why we encourage you to “LIKE” our Facebook Fan Page when you reserve us as your photographer. And all photos are available for purchase and download for any personal use. All we ask is that you don’t sell your images (to places like iStock), even though they’ll be good enough to sell
